We've been using Joomla! to power our personal and Brisbane based business websites since September 2005.  We've always felt that it is an appropriately mature open source solution that is ideal for powering small business websites.  The size, energy, and geographic spread of the Joomla! community is such that there is always someone around to help you and there is almost always an innovative way to deliver outcomes for business owners.

In April and May of 2007, a Joomla template and services provider, Joomlashack, conducted a significant survey of Joomla Users.  This survey quantifies for the first time much that had been common knowledge within the Joomla! community.

"Over 3,600 people filled out 31 questions ranging from how many Joomla sites they managed to what Joomla tasks they do most often."

Here are a few notable points:

• 63% of respondents indicated that their websites were used for commercial purposes
• Over 100 sites had more that 5000 visitors a day, which is an impressive number of large traffic websites
